Nothing like getting the old heart started in the middle of the night when the lights flickered and the telephone answering machine blasts out a message loud enough to wake the dead - talk about spooks in the night. Samantha is getting over a cold and in need of sympathy feels the need to sleep with her head on my pillow while she snores in my ear.

Thought for the day:
"Not one shred of evidence supports the notion that life is serious"

Just a Thought:

Ever notice that the people who say "that's the way the ball bounces" are usually the ones who dropped it?

Thought for Today:

"For one who reads, there is no limit to the number of lives that may be lived, for fiction, biography and history offer an inexhaustible number of lives in many parts of the world, in all periods of time".

---Louis L'Amour

We do not stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.

Read in the paper this morning that Aline Chretien was packing boxes at the luxurious Sussex digs and moving them in her new Jeep to their new quarters - my how the mighty have fallen!! Where was Jean - out playing pool in Gatineau - there are some things that never change - men "retire" but a women's work is never done.

Welcome to Winter!! Had a strange thing happen yesterday - went to enter the laundry/furnace room and could not open the door as the door knob would not release the latch - we had to take a hammer and smash it off then go out and buy a new one. I remarked that I could have been locked inside and when I seen a glint of a smile on George's face I did wonder just what thoughts were going through his mind!! About a year ago I had my bike locked to a bicycle rack with one of those non-destructive gismo type locks and the key would not open the lock - often wonder do these sort of things happen to other people??
