BIRTHDAY GREETINGS TO KEVIN
It has been one of those weeks - people have bad days but I have weeks. Tend to feel sorry for myself over trivial things but as you get older trivial becomes more serious!! On Monday I was checking my e-mail and for some reason Netscape suddenly disappeared and himself comes back with "what did you do now?" - nothing, I did nothing this computer just hates me - to which I got a look that would stop traffic. He spent most of the day reloading Netscape and trying to retrieve some of the data I had in my mail and some of my many favourite sites that I search every day. I have a habit of just saving research notes that come in by e-mail in various mail folders and never seem to get around to printing them out and placing in files. Himself, bless his soul, was able to find a lot of it not without much difficulty and searching. It has taken a couple of days to get back some similarity to what I had before but I am getting back to normal - whatever that is!!

For those who have a family doctor hang on to him/her as the situation here in Ottawa and other places I have heard is dire in that thousands are looking for a doctor and the waiting lists are a mile long. We just got notice that our doctor is closing his practice in one month and we will be among the throngs of people searching for medical care. At our age and problems with our health is no time to be without a doctor. At one time people could search around and interview various doctors to find one suitable to their needs, now it is more a matter of finding someone/anyone who will take you on to their already overloaded patient load. The list of doctors we were given who "might" take on new patients indicate only "young families" - another price of getting older - believe me you really do not want to!! Time to see our doctor and stock up on prescriptions!!

Thought for Today:
We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some
are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors but they all
have to learn to live in the same box.

Married 22 years last Friday and spent most of the day doing the weekly housework - how exciting is that?? Married 20 years the first time around so it seems like I have been married forever (42 years). No wonder cooking and cleaning are only done out of necessity these days!!
Thought for Today:

have a leg to stand on".
