The ultimate hipster validation...
A very cool looking bike messenger stopped in his tracks, turned around and rode up to me and my parked bike at the bank and proclaimed "tight bike man". Plesantries were exchanged and we went on our way. This single event made all the struggles assembling the bike worth while...

Not much to say these days. It seems work has pretty much consumed all my time. I've been watching the Canada Russia 72...documentary/miniseries/movie/hockey game. Firstly...its a bit weird watching a reenactment of a classic rivalry...I mean, you can buy the dvds and watch the original footage. What this show was trying to do was provide some backroom context for what was happening on the ice...interesting but it was hard to keep track of which character was supposed to be which player. The only good match was Ken Dryden...Although I'll admit that the actor playing Guy Lapointe skated like the original...even though he looked nothing like him. At least they found guys that could skate...not like that fiasco with Russell Crowe. The skating looked like it was pretty much half speed, but I suppose its tough to choreograph a hockey play...particularly ones that Canadians have burned into their heads. Definitely entertaining...I suppose to kids these days, that kind of hockey seems so ancient and "unprofessional"...what with all the smoking and beer drinking that was going on.
