I just saw the superman returns trailer...is it me or is there something unfortunate with the timing of this movie. The Clark Kent character looks eerily similar to Christopher Reeves.
Another movie slated for the summer is the Da Vinci Code...nope haven't read the book yet...mostly because I feel that he ripped the formula off from the true master Umberto Eco. Regardless, I saw that Audrey Tautou (of Amelie fame...a truly wonderful piece of cinema)is playing opposite Tom Hanks...reason enough for me not to go see it. Not that that is going to have any fiscal repercussions on the industry...the last movie I watched was a 1950's french comedy (Mon Oncle).

I had a nice weekend...Em and I took a trip up to the cottage to check things out. The cottage was really just a destination for what was otherwise a "boys" roadtrip. Em is big enough to sit on a booster in the front seat, making conversation infinetly more pleasent and certainly the view is more interesting from the front. Em was quite excited about the new seating position, and remained quite animated during the whole ride. Conversation ebbed and flowed, sometimes something in the landscaped peaked his interest, while at another time he would reflect on something from the past week or year. I have no delusions about his interest in hanging with his father as he gets older, but I think for now, we both really enjoy each others company. Its these fleeting moments that I think I treasure the most...I truly appreciate them despite their brevity.
