I was dreading the interview with Gene Simmons, of KISS fame and other insipid ventures. BUT...he was amazingly entertaining. Despite his butchering of the language, he projects an impressive presence and speaks with authority. When I bought the car, the Quattro feature wasn't really a big selling point for me, in fact I wasn't really sure I wanted AWD. Looks like a 4th overall finish in my class. Not even close to the podium, the first three are consistently several seconds faster than me...everyone from fourth back are separated by tenth's of seconds. I think it comes down to technique now...the car is as fast as its allowed to be in the class. This is a shot I found on my phone. Its the appetizer from a restaurant in Cusco,Peru. This was a "soup" course. The presentation in this case was in the form of shooters. If I remember correctly, one was potato, the other was squash and I can't remember the last. It was delicious.

An unassuming car until you hear the engine. My favorite thing so far is looking around when I start it up and see the look on peoples faces. Guys will squint to see what kind of car makes that kind of delicious noise. I went for a paddle on Thursday morning and noticed that the Chinese embassy was dumping construction waste into the river. Now...I'm not normally one who really cares about ecological issues..in fact I think some of the policies in place with respect to watersheds and rivers is a little over the top. As you can see they are dumping construction waste into the river. Considering builders and developers have to jump thru hoops to build anywhere near a river (and post bonds/risk fines). This is just country bumpkin pathetic. Its a shame, because the shoreline along the embassy property is quite wild and natural...obviously a little less so now.
